Cheap and Easy: Flower Crown

So as everyone knows Halloween is tomorrow and I needed to come up with a simple and easy costume. I decided to be somewhat of a mascarade "dia de los muertos", which translates to day of the dead. Its a celebration that happens in Mexico during the month of November to honor the dead. I won't be showing you the whole makeup (I'm not very good at it) but I will show you how I did my flower crown.

Okay so here is what you'll need:
-Flowers (fake or real); I bought mine at the dollar store and they look just as good. If anything you can roam around for sales at your favorite craft store like Michael's or Jo-Ann's.
- Glue gun and glue
- Scissors
- Headbands

First thing is first, make sure you know what colors you want to go for with the flowers that way you don't end up having to go back and forth to the store. Another thing be careful withe glue gun because it gets extremely hot and can burn your fingers (it happened to me).

Okay so make sure you heat up your glue gun and that you have enough glue sticks. Also a good tip is to first arrange the flowers in a way that you think looks best so that once you're happy with it you are ready to glue. I arranged my flowers around the headband first to make sure I liked how the base would look like. After that is when I started gluing my flowers directly unto the headband.

Once you have the base made, you can add more flowers to different places so that it looks fuller and with more volume. I decided to alternate with the flowers that way the colors would pop and make the flowers look a little more real.

After I glued all my flowers unto my headband, I let the flue cool off a little so that no tugging would cause the flowers to come off. I made sure to be really careful and cut the attaching bit or the little part that comes off the flower to connect to the stem. This is just an idea but you can leave them if you want. I thought the little bits would hurt my head but you can also cover them with glue and it shouldn't hurt you once it dries. Again, be very careful not to burn yourself with the glue gun.

After many hours of labor, just kidding it only took like 30 minutes, you have something like this. You can wear it like a normal headband or you can slant it a bit so it looks like its an entire crown.

And here is me just wearing it at last. I hope everyone has a Halloween and remember be safe!

Birthday Goodies

It was my date of birth this week and I got myself some goodies today. I'm excited to try these products so I write about them! I've got face wash and ultra deep face wash! What is better than ultra!?

Get Nude on a Budget

Hello People of the Internet! I thought my title was pretty clever btw. Well I've actually really wanted to show this to you since spring, but I thought it was such a early purchase that I really wanted to get a feel for it. I'm not one to wear a lot of eyeshadow, especially in the summer because of the hot weather, reason why I don't splurge on expensive eyeshadow palettes. There is nothing wrong with buying one for $70 but its hard to justify when all you really do is look at it and very seldom use it. I opted for the L'Oreal nude palette's, which have a pretty decent amount of colors and a decent price. For us non-eyeshadow wearing ladies or gentlemen this is a great option. You have a great selection of mattes and also a few with shimmer as you can probably tell even from far away. It comes in a sturdy case and with a brush with two different ends to it. I'm not a fan of the brush because its such low quality, but you can't always get what you want. (*starts humming that exact song with those exact lyrics*)

This top palette is made up of your browns, bronze, gold tones. It is a great purchase for any color eye but I'd think that it would look fantastic on blue eyes or green eyes even. It obviously has your highlighting colors are both ends and then goes to warmer darker tones toward the center. I really like this palette and the color range, my favorite color here has to be the second and third from the right. These colors blend really well and have a really nice amount of pigment. As far a duration, they are like most eyeshadows and of course if you want something to last you for a long period of time then a primer should do miracles. The nifty thing about these palette's is that they also come with instructions on how to put them. The colors are numbers on the back of the package (which I clearly forgot to photograph). It gives you a few examples on how to take a few colors and transition from a day to a night time look.

I can't choose which one's my favorite, but as someone who has brown eyes, I feel like this one enhances my eyes more. It has violets and pinkish tones like you can see. Its a really good purchase. Actually both are an amazing purchase. If I remember correctly, the price was about $15 each. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is that the glitter pigmentation. If you like super shiny glittery eyes this is not the eyeshadow for you. The color pigmentation is great. If you don't use eyeshadow as often or don't care for buying more expensive ones then you can purchase one or both of these.

Soleil Tan De Chanel (Bronze Universal)

One of my purchases this summer was the commonly talked about, Soleil Tan De Chanel (aka Bronze Universal). I'm naturally tan and when I'm out in the sun tanning isn't an impossible goal for me. I did want a bronzer because even though I'm tan, I always have a pale a finish to my makeup or even without it on. I bought this because I had heard good reviews on it and I've always had a good experience with Chanel. There are friends who have had allergic reactions to high-end brand names, so just because its Chanel does it mean its for you. It just depends on the formula and the ingredients that they use. Anyway, that's besides the point. This bronzer is really nice and creamy. The name says "universal" because it is meant to be for all skin colors. I think its hard to show on darker skin colors and you might have to apply more. I'm in the mid-toned color spectrum so this shows up nicely, but I also have to put maybe a little more than someone who is more on the ivory side. If you are a little wary or on the fence about bronzers you can always ask for a sample or for the lady at the counter to try it on you.

I really like this product because it really gives you a controllable advantage than what I've seen with powders. It shows up great and has a really nice texture. The packaging isn't the most extravagant. The lady at the counter told me it was good for a lot of uses. She told me you could use it as a concealer and a self temporary tanner (I'm assuming for the night because there is no way that this would last through a shower). I can tell you that it might work as a concealer but only for the right skin colors. I tried this and I looked dumb. It wasn't flattering or anything, it was just OMG! I wouldn't go out like this. I did try it on my shoulders where I had a bit of a tan line and it was really pretty. I'm assuming you can also use it to accentuate your breast, if you are into that, but I'm going to be honest here and say that I didn't try it. The kind of brush that you want to use for this is a synthetic brush. You can use something either fluffy that will give you a more free hand, or something small that will give you more of a precise and shaper look.

I really like this product. Its smooth and creamy. It looks nice on the skin. It isn't super orange or brown. Its hard to explain but its really pretty. Also if you pair this with a nice peachy or pinky toned blush, you look like you just came from the beach. Actually it gives you that somewhat sunburnt, but in a good way, look. I don't know how to explain it, so that's the best I could do.

One downer for this product is that it can get a lot of little lint particles in it. I'm not particularly concerned that I'll break out from lint, but it doesn't give it the best or cleanest look when you open it up. Another downer it's pricey, so I would say it's more of a treat or a collectors item than it is a necessity. You can definitely get away with not buying it, but if you just want it and you have the budget then you can certainly splurge on this.

Unfortunate Event

Hello people of the internet!

Okay, so I haven't been able to post because my computer was at the doctors (i.e. some Apple depot factory) because I had dropped it. I'm such a derp. This is what happened, I was watching Netflix one morning while eating down stairs. As I was getting ready to go upstairs, I was carrying various items with me and being the overachiever that I am (*whispers* lazy), I thought it was a grand idea to take my laptop with me while it was open. I obviously don't believe in putting a show on pause, so then I couldn't handle it and my laptop fell on the counter. Thankfully nothing crazy happened, like the screen cracking or breaking in half, but the logic board was damaged, hence why I didn't have a computer for the longest time. Now its back with me and I'm ready to get back on track with a post every week!

Glow like a Goddess

Hello! I am so excited to write this post. As you can tell by the picture above, this is going to be about Becca. I cannot tell you how excited I am to tell you what I think about this product. I am head over heels in love with this product. It is called the Shimmering Skin Perfector in the shade Champagne Pop. This is a highlighter that was made in contribution with YouTube makeup artist Jaclyn Hill and it is, as of right now, limited edition.

This is the most beautiful color I have ever seen and a little goes a long way. It really depends on how much you want to glow. I kid you not, but this made me feel so pretty. It gives you that dewy look that people are kind of into at the moment. Its not about that super matte look anymore, but about the look of glowing healthy skin. The product comes in a rose gold box and it looks like it was splattered with water. They probably were thinking of the beach or something in that direction. It kind of makes me think of rain, but that's besides the point. The compact itself is just like any other Becca highlighter. This is my first highlighter by the way, but I've seen the rest of the packaging for all the other Becca highlighters. I don't mind the packaging because what really matters is what's inside. Oh God! haha how cliche. Don't judge a book by its cover haha.

Anyway, this is the most beautiful color I have ever seen. It looks a little scary on the pan because its so bright, but just put some on your wrist and good God! It is like a beautiful sparkling wrist. I don't think I can even explain it. I literally couldn't stop looking at my wrist when I tried it on. When I walked into Sephora, they didn't have any in stock, but they had the tester. Also, since this is a limited edition you have to order it online and its only available through Sephora. I know on the website it says that you have to buy up to $50 for free shipping, but here's a little secret. You can actually go to the store and order it there for free shipping. The price is a little steep for a highlighter, but I promise you it is worth every penny ($38).

Becca has a range of other highlighters that compliment any skin really. I was actually debating on buying Rose Gold, Opal (Becca's staple highlighter), and Champagne Pop. My friend made a good point when she mentioned why she didn't purchase limited edition products, and its because if she loves it and it goes out of stock then she won't be able to get it when she's finished hers. I saw Rose Gold and I thought it was really pretty on the pan, and if you are a little less tanner than what I am now it gives you a sun burned (a nice sun burned) look. Opal is just a color everyone kind of gravitates to and its also very versatile. I actually love them all and think they go well with anyone, it just depends on your preference. I absolutely fell in love with Champagne Pop. It has peach undertones and it has such a soft buttery texture. If you have tan skin this would look really nice on your skin, but like I said it looks good on any skin tone. I'm saying it looks good on tan skin because of the peach undertones.

I have read and heard that they are somewhat fragile so it isn't something you want to throw around in your bag. I wouldn't throw it around because it was expensive and I take care of it because I'm a super huge klutz. I honestly can't say enough good things about this product. I usually put it on the high areas of my cheekbones, the center of my nose, my brow bone, my chin, and sometimes on my tear ducts. Oh! and I haven't told you the best part! It photographs like a dream! I have no idea how to explain it, but this makes you look like a million bucks. We are all a million bucks, but this just makes your rich persona reach through the lens and onto the little screen on your camera and BOOM! just gaaah (I'm drooling there). I'm personally so happy with my purchase and I encourage anyone to splurge on this. I'm going to enable you to buy it because it is a must have.

Schools in, Vacations done!

Today is the first day back to school! This is also my last semester for my bachelors and I am so excited to be done with it. Actually, I'm a bit excited, but also a bit scared. Like, what happens after I graduate? Where do I apply? Who wants to hire me? All these questions! But for now it is just the first day of school.

I haven't done the cliche question of, "What did you do for your summer vacation?" since grade school so I'm going to share it with you. I'm usually one of those people that stays home all summer and works her bum off to pay for books, parking, school supplies, etc.

This summer though was one of the best summers, EVER! I didn't work all summer, but only some of it, and I didn't just stay in the states. This summer my family and I went to Cancún. This remarkable place is located in Quintana Roo, México. I can't explain how magnificent this place is. I've been to México before because my parents are from there, and I'm still so amazed by how beautiful it is. The weather was super hot and humid, but it was amazing! I honestly went out for three hours and tanned one shade darker, which isn't a surprise because I tan easily but never that quick.

We went to Playa del Carmen, which is pictured right above. It is a little island that is around 30 minutes from Cancún. The area is really nice and there are locals around, but there are also a lot of golf cart business locations. It takes a long time to go around the whole island if you plan on walking, so if you do end up going, just rent the cart. As you can tell, the water is so clear and blue. There were a lot of iguanas as well.

One day we went to a park called Xcaret, which is a very well known park in Cancún. It is a self-described ecotourism park. They have dolphins, leopard, sea turtles (big and small), sharks, etc. It is not a zoo, but a place where they take care of these animals so they aren't harmed by the tourism. I had so much fun here and I ended up exhausted mid day. There is a long river that you can swim in, and it was exhausting. They also have a lot, A LOT of food. You would imagine they would because of the amount of people who visit the park each day. They really give you a little taste of Méxican culture. There a show called "Xcarete México Espectacular", which is kind of a presentation of the history of México and a little taste of what sports the Mayans would play. Its amazing! I'll put a few pictures below of Xcaret.

I want to say that this lady is dressed in Oaxaca clothing. This isn't how they always dress, but it's how they dress for festivals or celebrations. Each state in México is different and have their little bit of history.

She was one of my favorite performers in the show because she put so much energy into her performance. She also seemed to really enjoy it.

Look at these costumes! aren't they fantastic?

Here is some of the typical jewelry you can find in México. It's common along the beaches of México but also in places where there isn't a beach.

The picture below is my sister and I para sailing. We saw turtles from above and just the water and view was amazing! Everything was amazing!

They're Real! Eyeliner Review

Hello gorgeous people of the internet! How are you all today? Well I'm great, thank you very much. I'm slightly sleepy but in very high spirits. I don't know if its the weather (lies, the weather was brutally hot) or the food I ate or just my day in general, but today I'm feeling great and I hope you are too! Alright, onto the actual post, I had given up on eyeliner because 1) I am complete crap when it comes to putting it on straight and 2) I look like a hooker with eyeliner on, it just doesn't suit me. When I saw this I decided to give it a go and I know this has been out for a while! as most things that I review tend to be but I really had to tried this out (kind of my last hope). This here is the They're Real! Eyeliner by Benefit and it was something a lot of people, by people I mean beauty gurus on YouTube and bloggers, were talking about. I think there was such a big hype about it because it was a completely different eyeliner than what we are used to. Its sleek and black and just awesome! or at least I thought it was before I bought it.

I'm going to start with the positives because good news is always best!
The product itself is really good. Its creamy and applies easily on the skin, so the quality of the eyeliner itself is magnificent. I've tried different gel liners before, like Bobbi Brown eyeliner and some drugstore brand that I didn't like (I know, I know some people swear by the Bobbi Brown eyeliner but hey, it didn't work for my oily lids). This product held up pretty nicely to those pesky lids of mine. I found it was so easy to get close to the line of my eye and it fit perfectly in my hand. The packaging fits pretty much everywhere and you don't have to carry the brush and the container because it comes in one. The tip of the pen is rubbery so it moves easily and it also helps guide the eyeliner to where you want it or how you want it to end up (thin or thick). Also, the eyeliner wouldn't budge! I didn't want to buy the remover that Benefit sells because I stand by my Philosophy make up remover, but even with that it took a good rubbing to get it off. Rubbing your eyes excessively isn't a great idea so don't do it as the skin around your eyes is super sensitive. The price is so much more cheaper than buying a brush and the gel separately! I mean its still a little expensive for me but it was for the sake of trying new and exciting things.

Okay now the bad news (tun tun tun), the concept for this product is brilliant! I mean who wants to have to fiddle around with a brush and a little pot of gel liner when you can have it all in one. Right?! I didn't like how it was sometimes difficult to try and get the product out of this. I would twist and twist and nothing would come out. If I was standing next to someone with a brush and pot of gel they would probably finish before I did. The brush is mightier than the pen in this case. Sometimes because I clicked too much I would get more product than what I needed. Another downer is that it dries up super quickly. If you aren't an expert on your eyeliner and you have to go back and forth on it then you'd be disappointed by this. You would probably get frustrated and give up like I did many times. I'm not completely sure if this just happened to my pen, but the little rubber tip always seemed to be moist or oily for some reason. I didn't like that because it made the product kind of gross and I would have to wipe it off. The price is probably another negative for me because I paid $24 something and I wasn't completely in love with it. The product is amazing! brilliant! just fantastic! but the fact that I had trouble with my pen didn't make me like it so much.

Overall, its a great product just not for me. I gifted this to my sister because I'm not returning it and I refuse to leave it in my corner of forgotten and rejected makeup items. If you do want to try it but not pay those $24 you can get a small version of it and I believe its only $12. I also think you get the mascara, which is AMAZING! I didn't get that because it wasn't on the market when I was looking to purchase it or else I would have bought the cheaper one.

Moroccanoil Review

Hello Everyone! Its been a long while since my last post but I have finally had some spare time to write this up. I also like to take my time with the products that I'm reviewing so that I give my most honest opinion of the product. I have been using the Moroccain oil for about six months now and I cannot say how much I love this product. I've tried about three other oil treatments before and this one is by far the best one yet. I know this has been featured and recommended by many people everywhere, as well as beauty gurus but here is my little grain of sand when it comes to this product.

This has a really faint scent. It is not completely over powering but its not completely unnoticeable. It has a rich thick consistency, so I would suggest using it on slightly damp hair and then brushing it out. This is so that your hair doesn't have clumps of oil. When I say clumps though, I don't mean it looks matted or gross but you can tell you have some product in your hair that wasn't distributed everywhere. Also, I suggest about a quarter size amount of product for your hair and then work from there if you think you need more.

The brand is really hard to find at just your local store like Target or Ulta, which is my main go to place for hair products, so you kind of have to search around if you want to personally see the bottle and the product. I bought the 0.85 FL Oz. /25 ml bottle from my hairdresser but I recently saw this same sized bottle at Nordstrom. They don't carry anything bigger but they do carry the hairspray, shampoo, and conditioner in travel sized bottles. Very few salons carry it and I'm not quite sure what it consists of, but if you are looking into buying a bigger size bottle or a different product from the same brand they do sell them online.  I will tell you this, the bottle is small but it is mighty. The bottle is an ideal size if you travel and it doesn't spill out as some other products tend to do with the pressure of the cabin on an airplane.

The bottle says that this is for all types of hair but I do know that they have a light version of this product. The difference between the original and the light is that the light is meant for more light colored and fine hair. For example, I have dark and somewhat thick hair so the original is perfect for my hair but my sister has finer and thinner hair so the light version would be best for her. Styling with this product is not the best if you are making curls. It holds up nicely but it isn't amazing. I think it works best for straight hairstyles. I am not kidding when I say this hair makes my hair super soft and so manageable. I live in a humid area so I find that this control a lot of that big frizz you get after walking outside on a humid day. You know the lion mane that just comes out of no where. Another thing, my hair is slightly wavy so I think that it makes my waves prettier and just so lovely looking. I get compliments on my hair a lot of the time. I recently cut my hair because of the heat and it was kind of getting everywhere but I'm amazed how well this product has made me actually like my shorter hair (if you haven't figured out, I don't like short hair). I completely give this product a thousand stars because its amazing.

Hell Week: Finals

So this will be a very short post because I feel guilty for not posting recently. It is finals week and I have not had much sleep due to excessive reading and studying. There is also work and running errands for my parents and my sister. I'm so excited for the coming weeks though because then I'll have much more time to write posts and go out and have fun. I'm just so excited! As of now though I have a lot of school work to catch up on and work on so I can end the semester with good, or in some cases, acceptable grades.

Holy moly! look at the time! I've got to sleep.

Fruiteatox Review

Hello people of the Internet! this week I didn't post as much because I had such an active week. I went running and hiking. I tried a new app and loads of great stuff to start getting back into shape. It's actually going quite well. I've managed to go running at least three times this week and done a few exercises that require no equipment, just my body weight. Also, I have gone to sleep at a much more reasonable time than before. Sleeping at a decent time always seems to work best for me when it comes to maintaining my weight. One of the things I've tried recently is the Fruiteatox shown up above. It has been featured on @ellagracedenton instagram so I decided to give it a try when I read up on all its good reviews. At the time when I purchased this, I was feeling quite pudgy and not my best. I had a bit of trouble sleeping and staying asleep throughout the night. Reading over the reviews, it seemed like the tea had a lot of benefits and people were seeing results. I never bought this in hopes that I'd loose weight, just in hopes of feeling better.

You are given two choices for how you want to go about buying the tea. You can get both the daytox and sleeptox together or separately. I love to drink tea and the price seemed a little expensive but its not something you want to drink regularly. Usually a detox is to be made once every other month or every few months; too much of something good can also be bad. The flavors of the tea are lemon, for the daytox, and orange, for the sleeptox. I really liked the daytox because I felt awake and alert in the morning. I felt like I was full for a longer period of time after breakfast. I also noticed that my bloating was reduced quite a bit. As for the taste of the tea, I absolutely loved it. It is fresh and smells delicious. The sleeptox tea has an odd taste and smell to it. I wouldn't say its nasty but it definitely isn't my favorite smell because its definitely very strong. The sleeptox tea does have a mild laxative which didn't make me run to the bathroom all the time but I would say it helped. I only drank two little bags of this tea because I felt the smell was a little too much for me.

Overall, I didn't experience much weight loss with this. That being said, I also didn't go out to exercise everyday or consistently for that matter. I did feel much better after the first week of drinking the tea and noticed a difference with the bloating and how my pants fit (they fit much better around the waist). The taste is amazing for both but I do prefer the daytox to the sleeptox taste. The website has fast delivery service and it shouldn't get stopped at customs for a very long time (I know this isn't relevant to the tea itself but its good to know). One more thing I also noticed was that my stomach didn't make as many noises, including when I would drink milk or eat ice cream (I'm lactose intolerant).

If you are interested in trying this tea, give it a go and see if it works for you. It definitely helped me a bit with how my body felt but also don't expect the tea to make miracles happen. You have to eat healthy and exercise to help the benefits of the tea work to the fullest. Remember that the tea, or anything that you drink, is just an ingredient to making a better healthier you.

You can buy this tea at http://www.fruiteatox.com/

Happy National Siblings Day!

Wow three posts in one week! I've honestly impressed myself so much right now. Well today was National Siblings Day and my sister and I accidentally celebrated this. I say accidentally because we just happened to grab some lunch after going to see some prom dresses. We went to one of my favorite restaurants called Kona Grill which is located in San Antonio, Texas at La Cantera. I wouldn't say its cozy but more of a modern relaxed restaurant. You can just go and have food and drinks with friends and chat for a bit. The best times to go, and if you fancy going to pricey places, is happy hour. Usually people think happy hour is only for like simple appetizers and alcoholic drinks, at least that's what I thought when I was younger, but it isn't. They have sushi rolls, avocado egg rolls, fried calamari, so on and so forth. I promise you it is delicious!

This here is one of my favorites. It is the chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps. It has all sorts of veggies mixed in with a yummy sauce. In the little silver container there is some spicy dressing/sauce. I usually love spicy food but this can give you a really bad stomachache if you are sensitive to spicy food. That little mound of green is some cucumber with some seaweed (I am never a fan of it in any other form except like this) and some crab meat.

When ever friends and I go we get these same items as well as sushi (I am not a fan of sushi, nope not a fan). This here is there pepperoni flat bread and I just happened to add mushrooms because I LOVE mushrooms! It is so delicious and its like eating pizza. Who doesn't like going to every restaurant and getting pizza?!

I am a big foodie, if you haven't concluded that by now, so I like to order all sorts of food when I go out. I'm not as adventurous as that might make it sound but I'll try anything that smells good. My favorite dessert ever is creme brûlée. Goodness gracious! this is the greatest thing ever invented. Sure it has loads of sugar in it but once in a while "treat yo self". I must always get one of these when I do to Kona. There may be better creme brûlée elsewhere but this will do for now.

Hope you enjoyed your day and if you have a sibling give them the biggest hug.

Cover those Spots in Pink: Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

Hello there again! Well today I want to write about one of the best products I've ever tried, it is the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. It's possible that you might have heard of it before or maybe this is the first time that you read about it. My friend recommended this product when I asked him what he used on his face (FYI, I have never seen one pimple on his face). You can buy this online at the Mario Badescu website or you can go to your local ULTA and purchase it there as well. The price of this product is about $17, a little expensive compared to other acne products, but it is very well worth it. I've also seen Sephora carry it in case you don't have an ULTA near you. I was very excited to use this product because of the great reviews I had previously read. One of the things that can be a little concerning when you've had acne before is that changing your current and effective routine might cause break outs, so you can't blame someone for being a little scared.

As the picture above shows, there is this pink sediment settled at the bottom of the bottle and on top lays a clear liquid. The bottle is small enough to fit pretty much anywhere in case you need to travel or staying over at a friends house. It is 1 fl oz, which is ideal to take on your carry on luggage. When I first tried it I did just as the bottle instructed on the back. I used a cotton swab and dipped it in the pink sediment. Make sure not to shake it, it is not stated why you shouldn't on the bottle but might as well just follow the instructions (mine looks a bit murky because I accidentally dropped it, whoops). Once you've dipped in the pink sediment you lift it right out of the bottle (don't swirl it) and put it on any blemishes you might have on your face. I recommend that you don't pop your spots before you put this on because it will sting you. Also don't pop them and place the solution on the blemish because it might actually get worse and will leave scarring (I tell you from experience ha ha). You have to leave the solution on throughout the night and wash it off the next day. Its quite easy to wash off and doesn't leave any kind of scarring if you don't touch or pop your blemishes. This is generally for all skin types but if you suffer from a worse kind of acne make sure you check with your dermatologist, if you have one, or with the website or the sales associates. The website says that it is great for back and chest acne but my sister and I have used it on our face and it works like magic. It dries the spots overnight, of course some might take two or three nights but it works amazingly. A little bonus that I thought was quite nifty was that you can use it on mosquito bites and it will help. As someone who gets loads of them during the summer this is a double bonus. The product will definitely last you for more than the year that it's good for but you won't regret buying it. It is definitely a good investment for $17 and think about it, you may spend $4 or $7 on another treatment that might work too but how many of those will you be buying during the year? This one basically works over night.

Dream Pure BB Cream by Maybelline Review

Hello! so I've been absent for a bit because of school and work, you know the usual. I'm completely terrible at time management at the moment, don't blame me I'm just human. Alright so I really want to talk about the Dream Pure BB Cream. I know its been out for about a year or so, don't hold me responsible for this information, but I decided to give it a try. I was a bit reluctant to try it at first because the range of colors available isn't extensive but I took the risk. It's not terribly expensive, so its a winner if you are on a budget (nudge, nudge broke college students). Another thing why I chose to grab this was because the consistency isn't heavy or thick. I found this out by slightly peeling back the label before I purchased it to make sure I would like it, naughty me, but the downside to buying makeup at the drug store is that there isn't tester bottles.

The product claims its a 8 in 1 product and they are not joking, well from what I can tell it isn't a joke. It claims to clear acne (hence the 2% Salicylic Acid), conceal imperfections, minimize look of pores, reduces appearance of redness, adjusts to skin tone, hydrates and smoothes, enhances and clarifies, and 0% oils and lightweight feel. In my experience, I don't have terrible acne prone skin but I do tend to break out certain times a month. Since the last time that I broke out, I noticed a gradual change on my skin. I haven't had huge spots on my face since using product and probably drinking a liter or two a day has also given it a helping hand. I wouldn't say it offers high coverage, its more about light to medium coverage. I haven't seen an extreme difference in my pore size but maybe its because I don't pay a lot of attention to them. My skin doesn't really have any redness but I think it can slightly help if you do only because this is really light to medium coverage. I believe they only carry three or four shades (I use the medium shade) and it does kind of settle into your natural color without leaving you looking too pale or orange. I do agree that it hydrates, smoothes, enhances, and clarifies your skin. This next one is the biggest plus for me, it is lightweight feel and 0% oils. I have oily to combination type skin and something with oil would not be the right choice but this works really well. I still get slightly oily around my nose but who doesn't, plus its spring/summer here in Texas so my skin naturally produces more oils or sweat or both (lovely, isn't it?). Overall I really enjoy using this because I don't have to use foundation every day and I can just wear this on a lazy day.
